[Discussion] Who is the greatest investigator of all time

I have added 'Other' as an alternative for all investigators who are not mentioned in the poll. They can be from anywhere in the world; famous or not famous, great or even not great. Perhaps they are new at their job and are novices, perhaps they have only just solved some cases but are better at helping police with enquiries. They can even be superheroes but have a 'detective' side to them.

Think about style, personality, distinctive features and anything else about the character that makes them special and so good in investigation. My challenge to you is to see if you can justify your answers when you respond based on the above.

Poirot because it is elementary and after you compare him with the rest of the guys only Sherlock comes close to him but still a distant second. Poirot dealt with and understood  human nature and needed evidence rarely to prove what he has already deducted.....that's my take, however and obviously, since I can speak only for myself.....
